A hands on session for learning "How to create a Natueco Farm" at Nana Nani Park

URBAN LEAVES INVITES YOU
TO A HANDS ON SESSION ON NATUECO CITY FARMING

Dear Friends,

For the last one month or so you must have all seen our Urban Leaves volunteers busy making Amrut Mitti in the Nana Nani Park at Chowpatty.

What is this Amrut Mitti?
What is its relevance in our lives?
Why is it important to take the trouble to make it?
How can you grow vegetables for your own consumption in Mumbai?
How can you get involved?

These are some of the questions that must have crossed your mind.

Well, Urban Leaves volunteers are busy helping Mumbaikars to learn to grow their own food and recycle waste.Palak, Methi, Math, Pudina, Dhania, Tulsi, Chillies, lemongrass are veggies and herbs...... to name a few with which you can all get started on your own little farm, be it on the terrace or the little balcony!

Preeti and her team will guide and help you.......while at it, make new friends and expand your social circle and join us at Nana Nani park to help create your own friendly neighbood community garden!

Schedule:

7:45 am - Reporting time

8.00 am - 8.15 am - Brief Introduction

8:15 am - 8:45 am - Introduction to Natueco City Farm, Its Purpose and Importance

8.45 am - 9:15 am - Demonstration on Amrut Mitti

9.15 am - 10:00 - Hands-on activity – preparing Amrit Mitti in individual tubs

10:00 am - 10.20 am - plant a sapling in Amrut Mitti - Group Activity

10:20 am - 10:40 am - Tea and Snacks with interaction with the group

10:40 am onwards - Resolving for any Queries - Q & Ans session

Fee for the workshop is Rs.500/- per head –Inclusive of resource materials, tub with making of Amrut Mitti in progress and breakfast
